Ram Charan had high hopes for Shankar's Game Changer, but unfortunately, the film ended up as a massive flop at the box office. Producer Dil Raju is reportedly expected to incur losses close to ₹125 crore. Taking this setback in stride, Ram Charan has already shifted his focus to his upcoming project, directed by Buchi Babu Sana.
Since yesterday, rumors have surfaced suggesting that the film's composer, A.R. Rahman, has exited the project, with Pushpa fame Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) stepping in as his replacement. However, a reliable source close to the unit has dismissed these claims as baseless. “There is absolutely no truth to the news. A.R. Rahman has not been replaced. Why would anyone replace such an iconic legend? In fact, Rahman has already composed four songs for the film,” the source clarified.
Upon further investigation, the film’s PR team also refuted the rumors, confirming that Rahman is actively working on the background score for the movie.
Director Buchi Babu Sana, who made a stunning debut with the National Award-winning film Uppena, has brought together a stellar cast for this new venture. The movie marks Janhvi Kapoor’s first collaboration with Ram Charan, and she is reportedly thrilled to join the sets.
Ram Charan will sport a new look featuring long hair in this film, which is tentatively titled Peddi. The movie is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the same banner behind the blockbuster Pushpa. The film is said to have a sports backdrop, with Ram Charan playing the role of a cricketer.
The shooting is currently underway in Hyderabad, and several prominent actors have been roped in for key roles, including Jagapathi Babu. Additional details about the cast and crew will be revealed soon. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project!
