Team Vikram has been coming up with various impressive promotional activities in the last few weeks. Movie buffs have been going gaga over Kamal Haasan's enthusiasm in promoting the film single-handedly in different cities in India and abroad. The film is set for a grand theatrical release in less than a day's time.

Now, a couple of Tamil movies seem to have taken cues from makers of Vikram. The trailers of Kishore's Maayon and Radha Mohan's Bommai will be screened along with Vikram in many theatres. Maayon, starring Sibiraj, a fantasy thriller, will release on June 24, while Bommai, starring SJ Surya, a psychological thriller, is expected to hit the screens later this year.

Makers hope that this is the right time to capitalize on Vikram's craze and gain attention from movie buffs. Maayon's trailer was unveiled a while ago and Bommai's trailer was out yesterday.

Both the films had wrapped up its shooting long ago, and their makers started planning their release earlier this year. Maayon will have a box office clash with Iravin Nizhal, Maamanithan, Kallapart, Vezham and Titanic. Both Sibiraj and SJ Suryah had theatrical releases in the last month. The former had Ranga and the latter played a notable role in Don.

Tanya Ravichandran and Priya Bhavani Shankar play female leads respectively in Maayon and Bommai. The former is returning to Tamil cinema after four years. Vijay Sethupathi's Karuppan was her last outing.

On the other hand, Priya had a release (Hostel) earlier this year. She has Hari's Arun Vijay-starrer Yaanai awaiting release on June 17. She currently has half-a-dozen projects in her kitty, among which most of them are expected to hit the screens this year.
