Here's when Kartik Aaryan will begin work on Hansal Mehta’s Captain India and Sameer Vidwans's untitled musical

Kartik Aaryan is gearing up for the release of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and has a few more projects lined up right after this movie. These include Hansal Mehta's Captain India and an untitled musical saga directed by Sameer Vidwans.

Entertainment website Pinkvilla reports that the actor will begin work on the movies right after he wraps Rohit Dhawan’s Shehzada with Kriti Sanon. Sameer's movie is likely to go on floors in July 2023 and the pre-production on the project has already begun with the director scouting locations. 

After this in September, Kartik will commence work on Captain India, which will be shot in India and some overseas locations. A source told Pinkvilla that the actor will begin prepping for his role closer to the shoot date. 

For Hansal's movie, which is based on one of India's biggest airline rescue operations, Kartik will be seen as a pilot. The first look of the actor for the movie was released in July last year. Captain India is backed by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies and Harman Baweja's Baweja Studios.

Sameer's directorial, previously titled Satyanarayan Ki Katha, was also announced around the same time but was caught in a controversy after a religious outfit objected to the movie's name. The director then released a statement on social media rescinding the title "avoid hurting sentiments, even if that's purely unintentional."

Meanwhile, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will release in cinemas on May 20. This spiritual sequel to the 2007 movie directed by Priyadarshan also stars Kiara Advani, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav and Sanjay Mishra. Anees Bazmee has directed from a script by Farhad Samji and dialogues by Aakash Kaushik. 

Among Kartik's other projects is Freddy directed by Shashanka Ghosh (of Veere Di Wedding fame) which also has Alaya F in her second feature outing after her debut Jaawani Jaaneman.
