#Hombale12 title tomorrow: Is this Puneeth’s third with Santhosh Ananddram or something new?

When property developer Vijay Kiragandur floated a film production company and made his first Kannada feature, Ninnindale, he was the new kid on the block. Eight years and four other releases later, and with at least 5 projects in various stages of productions, Vijay’s Hombale Films is, today, one of the biggest names in the business of filmmaking. The makers of big-ticket films like Raajakumara, KGF 1& 2, Yuvarathnaa, Salaar, etc., any project backed by them is now keenly anticipated. With an aim to popularize Kannada cinema across the globe and increase its reach manifold, the banner has also diversified into distribution of films and music.

Apart from the fact that their productions feature big stars like Puneeth Rajkumar, Yash, Prabhas, Sriimurali, Rakshit Shetty, among others, the banner has also been instrumental in bringing new talent as leading ladies to the industry. While they introduced Erica Fernandes (Ninnindale) and Srinidhi Shetty (KGF) to cinema, actresses like Priya Anand (Raajakumara), Sayyeshaa (Yuvarathnaa) and Shruthi Haasan (Salaar) were brought to Kannada cinema with their films.

Naturally, any new announcement from the banner is awaited with bated breath. On Tuesday, they took to social media to declare that the first look and title of their 12thproduction would be announced on September 22nd at 3.10 pm. Now, the question is which film they are referring to. Could it be Puneeth’s hattrick collaboration with Santhosh Ananddram after Raajakumara and Yuvarathnaa, which the filmmaker only days ago said will take off in early 2022? Or does the banner have a surprise in store for audiences? Either which way, we will have to wait a day to hear more. Stay tuned.
