Hrithik Roshan feels a Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara sequel 'would be really cool' but doesn't think Zoya Akhtar would make it

Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol’s road trip bromance in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is still fresh in the minds of fans. Therefore as the film clocks a decade it might be hard to believe for some that it has already been this long.

The relatable Zoya Akhtar film that definitely set some big travel friendship goals is something we all want to see a sequel to and Hrithik in a recent interview weighed in on how realistic the idea might be.

“The potential for a sequel is always there. It definitely can be done, be it in 5 years or 15 years, that doesn’t matter. In fact, that would be really cool,” the actor tells ETimes as Zindagi Na Milegi Doraba competes a decade.

Hrithik further added, “But I don’t think Zoya is the kind who would want to make it, just because people want it. She has to stumble upon an instinctive, inspired thought about the sequel that would then fuel her mind to take those steps into building it into a script. I think that is something that’s providence, if it happens, it happens. The potential does exist as the film is about life and friends — some very interesting things could happen. The more time we spend away from these characters… them coming back after years, it would be interesting to revisit their journeys.”

Apart from Hrithik, Abhay and Farhan the film starred Naseeruddin Shah, Kalki Keochlin and Katrina Kaif. Apart from a great story and stellar performances the film also carried some memorable tunes that are still popular with fans.
