Needless to say, Valimai mania grips Tamil Nadu as the much-awaited action movie hit the screens today in record number of screens in the state. The special fan shows started from as early as 4 am across the state; Ajith fans and other film enthusiasts have a gala time catching up the big ticket flick.
It is a known thing that Ajith doesn't visit theatres to watch his movies on the first day. But movie buffs were excited to see Huma Qureshi, producer Boney Kapoor and Kartikeya. The movie marks Huma's second outing in Kollywood after Pa Ranjith's Rajinikanth-starrer Kaala.
The actress was visibly excited to catch the FDFS of the film. She also took to Twitter to share a post thanking the audience for the earth-shattering response the film received. Huma also added a video which has her looking astonished seeing the sea of fans gathered at a popular theatre in Chennai when her car entered its premises.
She tweeted, "The power of #Valimai #FirstDayFirstShow absolute madness #humbled #overjoyed #gratitude (sic)." The 45-second video has her waving hands at huge number of fans who surrounded her car even as she finds it to be a surreal moment.
An excited Huma says, "Oh my God, this is insane. I love it." Clad in a stylish black outfit, she is then seeing shouting 'Valimai...Valimai'...and gets out of the car to be greeted by cheering crowds. Many enthusiastic fans compete with each other to click her pictures.
Later, after occupying seats in the theatre's balcony, she is seen waving her hands at the audience a few minutes before the show was about to commence. Huma also gave flying kisses to the jubilant fans who were eager to welcome the movie which has been in the making for more than two years.
