Actor Ram Kapoor, a household name now after several popular TV shows and films like Bade Achche Lagte Hai, will next be seen in the Disney+Hotstar series Human. The medical thriller is based on human drug trials in India. Kapoor will be seen alongside a stellar cast, headlined by National award-winning actor Shefali Shah and versatile actor Kirti Kulhari along with Vishal Jethwa, Seema Biswas, Aditya Srivastava and Mohan Agashe, among others. The drama is directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and Mozez Singh.

The drama aims to unravel the secrets of the world of medicines and their effect on people with a gripping tale of murder, mystery, lust, and manipulation. Speaking about the memorable moments during the shoot of this intense drama, Ram Kapoor shared a fun anecdote. He issued a statement recalling an incident where he got stuck in a bathroom during the shoot in Alibaug in an old villa, which was about 80 to 100-years-old. "I went to the bathroom in the middle of the shoot and the door got jammed. So I actually got stuck in the bathroom for quite a while! I think the whole crew tried their best to open the door, and they couldn't. It was just madness, and then finally, a really small crew member had to climb all the way up the outside wall and jump in through the window," he said adding that it was quite an adventure and a memorable experience for everyone, especially him.

This incident will perhaps stay on in the memory of the entire crew and of course, Ram Kapoor for a very long time.

The drama revolves around a 35-year-old Dr. Saira Sabharwal who lands up a dream job in Bhopal’s premier hospital under the mentorship of the iconic 45-year-old Dr. Gauri Nath. Their lives take a complete U-turn when they realise a shocking discovery about the lethal effects of drug testing. Their story is intertwined with that of a young migrant worker, Mangu who is all set to wreak havoc on the medical system. Human is said to bring forth a compelling story of greed, power struggles, secretive pasts, trauma and murders.

The series will be out on the streaming platform on 14, January 2022.
