Juhi Chawla first appeared on the silver screens with Rishi Kapoor back in 1992 upon the release of their hit film titled Bol Radha Bol. About three decades laters, they will be seen together for the last time in Sharmaji Namkeen after the sad demine of Rishi Kapoor in the year 2020. The veteran actor had already shot for a major chunk of the film before he passed away. Later on, the makers roped in Paresh Rawal to complete the film's remaining portions.

A report on the IndianExpress.com quoted Juhi Chawla reminiscing her journey with Rishi Kapoor while shooting for Sharmaji Namkeen. The actress recalled how she always ended up being scolded by the veteran actor.

Speaking about her fondest memories of working with Rishi Kapoor, Juhi mentioned that in the early days of her career she used to be in awe of just standing in front of 'the' Chintuji. She mentioned that she was like a newcomer who would forget her lines and fumble while giving her shots. She shared that sharing the screen space with him was always a task for her but the process got smoother with time as she became more comfortable.

While talking about her journey for Sharmaji Namkeen, Juhi mentioned that it was quite fun to work with him. "I always had him scolding me. When he started scolding, I stared giggling," the actress was quoted as saying by the portal.

The actress further recalled one of the days on the sets of the film when Rishi Kapoor called her 'insecure'. Juhi shared that when the scnes were going on, on the film's sets, Chintuji used to give such good shots effortlessley while she would be struggling with her takes while standing in front of him. She feared that if she didn't match up to his performance then the scene would not turn out good enough.

Juhi added that she kept going to check the monitor to see how she had performed after every take. "So, Chintu ji was like – ‘monitor is not meant for actors. Why are you behaving like an insecure actor?" she said, adding that he even asked the director Hitesh Bhatia as to why he was allowing her to see the monitor. The actress mentioned that this would crack her up but still she'd go to check the monitor.

Sharmaji Namkeen will mark Rishi Kapoor's last on screen appearance. The film is slated to begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video from March 31.
