Shruti Haasan, who has Chiranjeevi's Walter Veerayya, Prabhas' Salaar, and NBK 107, in her kitty, was elated about the response to her father's blockbuster, Vikram. The actor told a leading English daily, "I am happy for my Bapuji, and it's quite good for the business. In particular, post-pandemic, for any film to do this well is just absolutely fabulous!"

Shruti added she congratulated Kamal Haasan after watching the film. Ask what was her favourite scene in Vikram, and she said she couldn't pick one scene as it is an overall good film. "I liked the director's earlier work, too. Lokesh is a gifted filmmaker and his storytelling is outstanding."

Vikram hit the screens on June 3. Produced by Kamal Haasan and R. Mahendran, it has emerged as one of the highest-grossing Tamil films of all time. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial will be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from July 8. Kamal is also planning to team up with Malayalam editor-turned-filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan for his next.

Recently, Shruti Haasan signed a film with director Deekay, best known for the 2014 horror comedy Yaamirukka Bayamey and the 2016 romantic comedy, Kavalai Vendam.

It is no secret that Shruti Haasan lives life on her terms. In conversation with ETimes, she revealed she has no plans of getting hitched anytime soon. When asked about her marriage plans, Shruti said, "I have no clue. I have no answer for you."

In an interview with another newspaper, Shruti added she was always open to doing OTT projects. "In fact, before Bestseller, I had already worked on content for OTT platforms in Tamil and Telugu. I've always been a fan of the platform, so, yes, if there's something good that's offered and I find it interesting, then sure."

Speaking about the differences she found while shooting for a web series, she said, "While we're shooting, you don't find that much of a difference, but you do realise that the platform, especially when it is a web series, allows you a long time to tell a story."

Shruti, further, added, "Web series give you a long time to elaborate on characters and their backstories, something that you don’t get too much of a chance to do in a film. And playing the lead in the series led me to put in a lot more time than I would for a movie."
