Indian Idol Telugu sensation Shanmukha Priya croons for a song in Raj Madiraju's Grey

Shanmukha Priya is undoubtedly the toast of the season. The child prodigy, who's a well-trained classical singer, made a name for herself in the nooks and corners across the country with her presence in Indian Idol, coming quite close to winning the singing competition. The young music sensation had recently crooned for a song in actor, director Raj Madiraju's next spy thriller Grey recently.

Nagaraju Talluri is scoring the music for Grey and the team was super thrilled to have Shanmukha Priya on-board for a crucial number in the film. "Shanmukha Priya, you may have heard the name, seen her, applauded her in Indian Idol 21. Yes, she has now sung a number in Grey. We have just completed the recording. She is a great value..," Raj Madiraju shared his excitement about the song.

"If I have to summarise her in a nutshell, she's a livewire. If I have to spill the beans about the number, I can only say that Shanmukha Priya is probably the only singer in this region who could've done justice to it. I thank Nagaraju and Mani Nagaraju for suggesting her name for the song. I can't reveal anything more. You'll get to hear it shortly. That's all for now," the Rushi filmmaker said.

The singer had also lent her voice for a peppy number in Vijay Deverakonda's Liger a few months ago. Meanwhile, Raj Madiraju's Grey, whose shoot is complete, is gearing up for a release soon. Grey (The Spy Who Loved Me) stars Prathap Pothan, Ali Reza, Aravind Krishna, Urvashi Rai, Shani Solomon and Siddharth in pivotal roles and is produced by Kiran Kallakuri under Adwitiya Movies.
