Indrani, touted as the first supergirl film to be made in Indian cinema, is a multilingual written, directed and produced by Stephen Pallam. Starring Yaneea Bharadwaj, Garima Kowshal, Franaita Gigina, Kabir Duhan Singh and Shataf Figar essay important roles in the film which commenced its shoot earlier this year. The fantasy film is all set to hit theatres now in December instead of October 27, as announced earlier. The film's teaser was launched amidst Vishnu Manchu and Siva Balaji earlier today.
The USP of the film is the way it blends the elements of the time-travel genre with the tropes of a superhero tale. The teaser introduces us to a superwoman who battles against the wrongdoers in the world with all her might. The glimpse pompously tells, "This December..time will change..history will change..destiny will change" while offering a sneak-peek into the larger-than life action sequences featuring the lead actors of Indrani.
Sivabalaji in particular hailed the look of Indrani and how a robot was placed on the shoulder of the titular character and the characterisation of Kabir Singh, cast in the role of a super villain named E-man. He expressed his confidence that the film would draw both adults and children to the big screen. In a statement, the director claimed that the sequences where Indrani confronts three alligators in addition and another intense scene with Shataf Figar will be the major highlights of Indrani.
Stephen expressed his happiness over the work of VFX supervisor Srikanth Kandala, who's been tirelessly working on the film amidst tight deadlines. Sanjay Swaroop, Ajay, Saptagiri, Madhunandan, Bhanu Prakash, Sunaina, Temper Vamsi, Dhana Raj and Nayudu too essay important roles. Charan Madhavaneni has cranked the camera for the film edited by Ravi Teja Kurmana. Ravi Kumar Gurram and Premson are the art director and the stunt choreographer respectively.
