It’s official! Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Anil Ravipudi join hands for #NBK108

Actor, politician Nandamuri Balakrishna, after the success of Akhanda, seems to have understood the knack of picking the right scripts and directors, in sync with times. His upcoming film, tentatively titled #NBK107, is an action entertainer helmed by Gopichandh Malineni where Shruti Haasan is the female lead. Now, it is official that he’ll next join hands for a film with F3 director Anil Ravipudi.

Tentatively titled #NBK108, the film was announced formally on Balakrishna’s birthday. Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi of Shine Screens, makers of films like Majili, Tuck Jagadish, are bankrolling the film. S Thaman, who scored the music for Balakrishna’s Akhanda and is also working on #NBK107, is on board as the composer. S Krishna is the executive producer.

The film will reportedly be made on a lavish scale with stars from multiple industries. Sreeleela is expected to play a crucial role in the film as well. The makers, in a video, confirmed the commencement of the project, stating “Bombarding soon…” Anil Ravipudi is leaving no stone unturned to showcase Balakrishna in a never-seen-before avatar, from what we hear.

Other cast, crew will be announced shortly. Anil Ravipudi had informally announced the project nearly a year ago and has been working on the script for a long time now. Unlike his previous films, #NBK108 may not have adequate doses of humour, he had also hinted. “It’ll be a very new film that’s massy and projects Balakrishna in a different light,” Anil told.

The producers had also announced another film earlier this year, a thriller starring Allari Naresh, directed by Vijay Kanakamedala. The banner is bankrolling a film with Naga Chaitanya. Anil Ravipudi’s earlier release was the comedy entertainer F3, starring Venkatesh, Varun Tej in lead roles. Meanwhile, #NBK107 is expected to release for Dasara.
