While the news will undoubtedly excite fans, SRK's Dunki will be pitted against Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's BadeMiyan ChoteMiyan. Both movies will be released over the Christmas holiday weekend. After Pathaan's release in January of next year, Dunki will be SRK's second film of 2023.
SRK is now filming Dunki in Mumbai. According to Pinkvilla, the initial schedule for the film will span 40 days. Rajkumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan are slated to begin filming around April 15 for this social comedy set against the backdrop of immigration. A magnificent set, imitating Punjab, has been built at Filmcity in Mumbai, and the team will be shooting there for almost 40 days, a source told the entertainment portal.
The BadeMiyan ChoteMiyan announcement video screams blockbuster and has already created a lot of talk around the internet. The onscreen connection between Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff has captivated audiences. Both will be seen together for the first time, and this remarkable pairing is set to premiere in December 2023.
Ali Abbas Zaffar, the blockbuster director who brought us Tiger Zinda Hai, Sultan, and Bharat, is now gearing up to direct BadeMiyan ChoteMiyan.
Veteran producer Vashu Bhagnani stated in a statement that the 1998 film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda and was directed by his favourite, David Dhawan Ji, occupies a particular place in his heart. It's amazing to watch his son, Jackky Bhagnani, and Ali Abbas Zafar, who has a brilliant film idea, recreate that magic. Vashu is overjoyed that in 2023, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff will play BadeMiyan and ChoteMiyan, respectively, for a new generation of spectators.
