Jagame Thandhiram: Dhanush’s Suruli makes it to New York’s Times Square

The makers of Jagame Thandhiram are leaving no stone unturned, while promoting the Dhanush-starrer, which released on June 18 on Netflix. The film’s posters and visuals recently made it to the Times Square in New York.

In the Karthik Subbaraj directorial, Dhanush plays Suruli, a small-time gangster from Madurai who lands in the UK and gets caught in the midst of a gang war. While the film has received mixed reviews, it has also caught the attention of many, with it releasing in 190 countries and 17 languages through Netflix.

Recently, journalist Ramesh Bala tweeted photos of Jagame Thandhiram advertisements that gained a prominent space at Times Square.

Before the movie’s release, Avengers director duo The Russo Brothers wished Dhanush luck and shared the trailer in a Twitter post. “Super da thambi! Excited to be working with @dhanushkraja and good luck with #JagameThandhiram,” they tweeted.

Dhanush is currently filming The Russo Brothers’ highly-anticipated project The Gray Man, which is based on Mark Greaney’s 2009 novel of the same name. The film also stars Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Bridgerton actor Regé-Jean Page, Wagner Moura from Narcos and Game of Thrones actress Jessica Henwick. The film, which will release on Netflix, revolves around a freelance assassin and a former CIA operative portrayed by Gosling.

Meanwhile, Jagame Thandhiram also stars the Game of Thrones fame James Cosmo, Joju George, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Kalaiyarasan and Deepak Paramesh in significant roles. The film can be streamed on Netflix.
