Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah starrer Jalsa is all set to release on Amazon Prime Video. The forthcoming movie has Vidya as a leading journalist named Maya, while Shefali is portraying the character of Rukhsana, Maya’s cook. The Suresh Triveni directorial follows an accident involving an 18-year-old girl that turns around many people's lives.

The leading ladies shared their thoughts about their highly-anticipated venture in recent statements. Talking about Jalsa, Vidya mentioned that it's a celebration. She added, "At the end of the film, you will realize that you have been through something and you emerge on the other side of it. It is like a celebration. Every little challenge you overcome is a 'Jalsa' or rather requires a 'Jalsa'."

Speaking about her thoughts on the Amazon original movie, Shefali mentioned, "For me, ‘Jalsa’ is not the film that comes from the brain, it's the film that comes from the heart." She further added that Jalsa is a film on human relationships and she sees it as a human-oriented film and not like a woman-oriented film.

Meanwhile, since the trailer release of Jalsa, fans have been waiting to witness the magic of the phenomenal actresses. The official trailer video and the promo clips have received quite positive responses and reviews from the audience.

Jalsa, which also has Rohini Hattangadi, Surya Kasibhatla, Manav Kaul, Shafeen Patel, Vidhatri Bandi, Mohammad Iqbal Khan, Ghanshyam Lalsa, Shrikant Mohan Yadav and Junaid Khan, will have a global premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 18.
