Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan CBFC report is now out. The film has received UA certificate after a few modifications. On seeing the changes, shared by a Reddit user, netizens could barely control their fury. They did not understand how Adipurush was censored vs how Jawan is censored. One user pointed out how ‘jalegi bhi tere baap ki’ was allowed in Prabhas’ Adipurush and ‘ungli karna’ is censored from Jawan.

Some of the modifications in Jawan include reducing visuals of suicide and beheading. The other change comes in the form of removing ‘out-of-context reference of the Hon. President of India’ and NSG. Many dialogues were also modified. This included ‘paida hoke’ and ‘ungli karna.’ The time reduced from the modifications though, was just four seconds worth.

Jawan’s screening is now passed with UA certificate. The movie is now 2.50 hours long. Jawan, according to Shah Rukh Khan’s previous interviews, is a family-friendly film and can be enjoyed with one and all.
Is Jawan an original film or inspired from another movie?
Officially, Jawan is an original film. However, fans have often pointed out similarities between this film and the Malayalam film, Jailer. The film was set in the 1950s where a prison officer stayed in a bungalow with five prisoners who were charged with different crimes. His intent in doing so is being able to reform them.
Who is a part of Jawan apart from SRK
Jawan, helmed by Atlee, stars Nayanthara as the female lead and Vijay Sethupathi as the second male lead . The movie also features Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani in pivotal roles. Deepika Padukone, last seen opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Pathaan at the beginning of the year, is seen in a cameo appearance in the movie.
The Adipurush dialogues which irked netizens
Adipurush is known for having some bad dialogues and they were all passed by the CBFC. Some of them include, “Yeh teri bua ka bageecha hai jo hawa khaane chale aaya” and “Kapda tere baap ka. Tel tere baap ka. Aag bhi tere baap ki. Toh jalega bhi tera baap hi.”
