Jayeshbhai Jordaar promises a unique superhero tale in which Ranveer Singh will don his never-seen-before on-screen persona yet. In order to give viewers a better idea of what to expect, the makers have announced that the film’s trailer will be released tomorrow, Tuesday, at 11 AM.

Singh shared the news on his official social media handles today, along with an intriguing glimpse from the film. In the photo, we see Singh as the titular character, with red neon light covering him from head to toe as he strikes a cool pose. The post was captioned “#JayeshbhaiJordaar Trailer OUT TOMORROW!!!! 👻 #HappyDance @shalzp | @boman_Irani | #RatnaPathakShah | #ManeeshSharma | @divyangt | @yrf | #JayeshbhaiJordaar13thMay”

If that was not enough to get people’s attention, the makers seem to be indulging in some very curious promotional activities too. Today, Anushka Sharma shared that she had received a special gift from Jayeshbhai himself - an unscented block of soap. The ‘gift’ was also accompanied by a letter.

To add to the intrigue, the makers recently also unveiled a new poster, where Jayeshbhai is seen clutching onto a shape resembling a foetus. The words “Jayeshbhai ko ladka hoga ya ladki?” were written on the poster.

The upcoming film is touted to be a ‘superhero’ story with an important social message, said to revolve around gender equality. Talking to Mid-Day about the role, Singh said that he plays an ‘unprecedented’ character in the film. His character is said to be that of a Gujarati man, who becomes a ‘superhero’ overnight.

In addition to Singh, the film also features Shalini Pandey as its female lead. Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah and Deeksha Joshi appear in supporting roles. The film marks the directorial debut of Divyang Thakka. Maneesh Sharma is the producer of the film.

Jayeshbhai Jordaar will be released in theatres on May 13, 2022.
