Jeetendra on Ekta Kapoor’s Lock Upp: I don’t understand or watch such things

Ekta Kapoor is back with a new successful show, this time a reality show – Lock Upp. Hosted by Kangana Ranaut, this is a show that sees inmates being controlled by the jailor (Karan Kundrra). While Ekta has been celebrating 200 million views on the show, her father and veteran actor Jeetendra’s isn’t one of the views, he confirmed.

While talking to the media at a recent event, Jeetendra revealed that he ‘doesn’t understand or watch such things.’ The veteran actor was asked to comment about his views on the show.

Jeetendra, however, praised Ekta’s work. He said that she has her own work and he doesn’t interfere with those. The actor did declare that he feels happy when Ekta’s shows perform.

The ‘jumping jack of Bollywood’ was last seen in Ekta’s show Apharan season 2. The show is headlined by Arunoday Singh. Nidhi Singh plays the role of his wife while Saanand Varma plays the second lead.

Apharan 2 was not Jeetendra’s OTT debut. The actor was a part of Baarish, which is an AltBalaji presentation. The show stars Sharman Joshi and Asha Negi in the lead roles. While Baarish streams on AltBalaji, Apharan season 2 is currently streaming on Voot.

Despite his two appearances, Jeetendra maintains that he doesn’t want to explore OTT fully. He believes he has worked a lot back in the 1970s and is satisfied with his work.

Apharan season 2 ended on a cliffhanger, with Jeetendra playing the lead role in it. Thus, the actor is expected to be a part of the show’s season 3 too, if it is made.

Meanwhile, Lock Upp streams on AltBalaji as well as MX Player. The show is available post 10.30 pm and streams live 24x7 too.
