Gunjan Sinha, an eight-year-old from Guwahati, was declared the winner of the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10. Gunjan and Tejas Verma, another child dancer with her, took home the trophy and a check for Rs 20 lakh.
On September 3, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10 made its debut, including 15 famous candidates who were judged by dancer-actor Nora Fatehi, filmmaker Karan Johar, and Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit. The show was hosted by Maniesh Paul.
While the contestants gave their finest performances during the finals, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon from Bhediya made an appearance as celebrity guests.
Kriti and Madhuri danced together to the song "Badi Mushkil" from the movie "Lajja."
Rubina Dilaik, Faisal Shaikh, Nishant Bhat, Gunjan Sinha, and Sriti Jha, the top five contestants, competed against one another. Sriti and Nishant were eliminated after there was a double elimination. As a result, only the top three contenders, Gunjan, Faisal, and Rubina, remained in the competition. The Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10 judges then announced Gunjan as the winner.
Gunjan, who has taken part in several reality dance competitions, such as "Dance Deewane Juniors," expressed her excitement and said, “I am taking back a lot from the show. Many moments and memories will remain with me. My partner Tejas Verma and choreographer Sagar Bora kept inspiring me to perform well.”
She added: “I learned a lot from the judges and Madhuri ma’am has always been my idol when it comes to dancing.”
After winning the trophy, Gunjan shared a few pictures of herself. She wrote along with it, “So Finally Trophy is here @sagar_bora sir @tejas_being_legend__ bhaiya. It can’t be possible without you all and your blessing thank you so much to each and everyone for all your love and support and votes, after 16 weeks of hard work finally we got this trophy.”
