JugJugg Jeeyo: Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani starrer leaked online on the day of its big release

JugJugg Jeeyo, starring Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor was a highly-awaited Hindi release. With the movie’s star cast and its premise, the movie’s trailer had caught the attention of the fans. The latest news regarding the family entertainer is that it has been leaked online on the day of its release. 

As reported by India.com, the movie has been leaked in a number of illegal websites Tamilrockers and Movierulz. JugJugg Jeeyo’s theatre print is also made available in Telegram channels. 

The movie industry has been constantly fighting pirating for years now, but there seems to be no results. Movies such as Kangana Ranaut’s spy thriller Dhaakad were also released on websites on the day it hit theatres. 

Directed by Raj Mehta, JugJugg Jeeyo revolves around a family, in which the son is contemplating divorce. When he tries to break the news to his father during a reunion, he learns that he is also thinking the same. While the movie’s trailer led to it being embroiled in some controversy, the movie is receiving generally positive reviews. 

“If you found Good Newwz bizarre to some extent, Raj Mehta makes a course correction with JugJugg Jeeyo. He creates a messy ball of wool with the first half, while the second half, although it starts in quick succession, clears out all the mess in the right way,” read the movie’s review on OTTplay. 

Director Raj Mehta also recently said that while the movie deals with a serious topic such as divorce, he has tried to bring elements of comedy to it and has left something for the audience to think about. 

The movie, which hit theatres around the country on June 24, is bankrolled by Yash Raj Films, and also features Maniesh Paul and Prajakta Koli.
