Salman Khan is gearing up to start shooting for Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. The project, which Khan will also produce, is scheduled to go on floors tomorrow.
According to a report in Mid Day the actor will start shooting for the first schedule on Friday, at the Golden Tobacco factory in Vile Parle. The set design team had been busy over the past two weeks to construct two sets at the site. One of the sets was that of a metro, and the first scene would be shot there. A source told the portal that the makers chose to go in for a set as shooting at a real metro might prove to be difficult due to problems related to crowd management. After completing this schedule of almost 10 days, the team will make their way to Bandra’s Mehboob Studio dor an ‘extensive schedule’.
Pooja Hegde will essay the role of the film’s female lead, opposite Khan. the film also stars Khan’s Antim: The Final Truth co-star Aayush Sharma in pivotal roles. Shehnaaz Gill of Bigg Boss fame will reportedly make her Bollywood debut in the film. Khan had served as host on Bigg Boss.
Farhad Samji will direct the upcoming film. Earlier Sajid Nadiadwala was attached to produce the project, but had reportedly dropped out due to disagreements over the film’s script and budget. Khan will produce the film under the banner of Salman Khan Films. Pushpa - The Rise composer Devi Sri Prasad will compose the music for the upcoming film.
Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali is slated to be released in theatres on December 30 this year.
