Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham teaser: Nivin Pauly is back in comedy genre in this hilarious satirical film

On completing 11 years in the film industry, Nivin Pauly unveiled the teaser of his forthcoming film titled Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham. The one-minute-long video is set against the backdrop of a stage play wherein the actor is seen in a full costume drama and joined by his co-stars. Nivin is also producing the film under his home banner Pauly Jr Pictures. The film is written and directed by Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval.

The cast of Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham includes Nivin Pauly, Grace Antony, Vinay Fort, Jaffer Idukki, Sudheesh, Vincy Aloshious, Joy Mathew, Rajesh Madhavan and Sudheer Paravoor.

Nivin is returning to the comedy genre after two years with Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham and the Ratheesh called it a satirical approach. He further told Cinema Express, "At the same time, there is an interesting aspect to it that I cannot quite call it a thriller either."

The film went on floors in November 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic and was shot in the locales of Idukki and Ernakulam. 

While sharing the teaser on his social media pages, Nivin wrote, "Cinema is where I want to be, where I want to experiment and create beautiful stories. I have tried to do that for the past 11 years and here's something special and close to my heart."

Nivin's last movie outing was Geetu Mohandas directorial Moothon which currently streams on ZEE5. The bilingual film was released in 2019 and starred Shashank Arora, Sobhita Dhulipala, Melissa Raju Thomas, Sanjana Dipu and Roshan Mathew in the lead roles.

His upcoming film is Thuramukham directed by ace cinematographer Rajeev Ravi. The film is awaiting a release and also stars Poornima Indrajith, Indrajith Sukumaran, Arjun Ashokan, Nimisha Sajayan, Sudev Nair, Manikandan R. Achari and Darshana Rajendran playing important roles.
