On Thursday, Kangana Ranaut paid tribute to the late singer Lata Mangeshkar and her inspiring career. She recently posted a video of Asha Bhonsle talking about her late sister's good reputation as an artist while appearing on the Television show DID Li'l Masters 5. She disclosed that Lata turned down a $1 million offer to be a special guest at a wedding function. Kangana similarly stated that she too declined a substantial sum of money and never performed at weddings or other formal gatherings.

The Tanu Weds Manu actress shared an old viral video of Asha Bhonsle talking about the late Lata Mangeshkar on her Instagram stories. And alongside, she wrote, “Agree! Even I never danced in weddings or private parties, even though I have the most popular songs…denied an insane amount of money…glad to come across this video…Lata ji truly so inspiring.”

For those who are unaware, the renowned vocalist Lata, often known as the Nightingale of India, passed away on February 6, 2022. She was 92.

Kangana is now working hard filming Emergency, her forthcoming political drama. She will portray former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the movie. She is both directing and acting in the film. According to recent reports, the actress has asked for permission to film a few sequences inside of the Parliament. However, Kangana disregarded the reports, alleging they were fabrications.

Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Choudhary, Shreyas Talpade, and Satish Kaushik all play significant roles in Emergency, which is written by Ritesh Shah. The production crew for the movie just finished its work in Assam. The movie, produced by Renu Pitti and Kangana under the Ease by Trip and Manikarnika Films, is scheduled for release in 2023.
