Kangana Ranaut congratulates ‘Dhaakad’ competitor Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 for breaking Box Office spell for Bollywood movies

Kartik Aaryan-Kiara Advani’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has beat Kangana Ranaut’s Dhaakad at the Box Office. The latter has congratulated team Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 for breaking the dry spell for Hindi films at the Box Office. She did so when her own movie has seen a very dull opening at the Box Office.

While Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 minted Rs. 14 crores on its opening day, Dhaakad only earned Rs. 50 lakhs at the Box Office. With the current numbers, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is the second biggest post-pandemic opening after Sooryavanshi. Akshay Kumar’s film had earned Rs. 26.11 crores on its opening day.

Kangana congratulated the entire team of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 for the feat. She took to Instagram and tagged the lead actors Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani. Her not tagging Tabu, who has garnered massive praise for the film, comes as a surprise.

Tabu has received applauds even more than Kartik and Kiara combined. She was trending on Twitter because of her role in the film but surprisingly, Kangana completely overlooked her.

This also comes as a surprise since Kangana is trying to promote women power through her film Dhaakad. She was seen in the first ever woman out-and-out action film in Bollywood.

On the other hand, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is the sequel to Akshay Kumar-Vidya Balan’s superhit 2007 film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Despite being a sequel, Anees Bazmee’s movie has received praises for being a standalone film.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is currently running in theatres. The movie will start streaming on Netflix post its theatrical run but the confirmed OTT release date for the movie is not yet out.
