Kangana Ranaut’s action-thriller Dhaakad to hit theatres in four languages on THIS date

Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram today to release a new poster and announce the release date for her upcoming action thriller Dhaakad. The film is directed by Razneesh Razy Ghai.

The actor shared the poster for the movie and wrote, “The unstoppable force of #AgentAgni is fast approaching!”.

The poster features the actor in an intense avatar, all geared up and holding an assault rifle. It’s an attention-grabbing still that hints at a neat spy thriller. 

Dhaakad is set to hit theatres across the country in four languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu & Malayalam on 27th May. The film was previously slated to release in October last year, but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

The movie, which is set in the backdrop of child trafficking and the exploitation of women, will see Ranaut play an agent who takes on bad guys. The actor is expected to deliver another solid performance to add to her long list of successful characters. 

Dhaakad also stars Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta in key roles, with the former playing an anti-hero character. 

As reported by ANI, Ranaut said, “The film had to be made on a certain scale that had to be tailored to the vast vision of its makers. India has never seen a woman action entertainer of this scale”. She also added that the character will “blow everyone’s mind.” 

Dhakkad is bankrolled by Deepak Mukut and Sohel Maklai and co-produced by Hunar Mukut, and presented by Presented by Soham Rockstar Entertainment Pvt Ltd in association with Kamal Mukut, Sohel Maklai Productions and Asylum films.
