Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan set to share stage at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne

Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan, who had a fallout last year over the latter's exit from Dostana 2, are set to share the stage at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2023. The festival, which will take place from August 11 to 20, will honour Karan Johar for completing 25 years as a filmmaker. Kartik Aaryan will be one of the guests at the festival and will also participate in a special talk with Karan Johar.

According to sources, Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan have buried the hatchet and are ready to move on from their past differences. They have agreed to be part of the festival and interact with each other in a cordial manner. They will also discuss their journey in Bollywood and their upcoming projects.

Karan Johar, who made his directorial debut with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in 1998, has been one of the most influential and successful filmmakers in India. He has directed films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, My Name Is Khan, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. He has also produced several blockbuster films under his banner Dharma Productions, such as Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Raazi, Uri: The Surgical Strike and Shershaah. He has also launched many new talents in the industry, such as Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor.

Kartik Aaryan, who made his debut with Pyaar Ka Punchnama in 2011, has emerged as one of the most popular and bankable actors in Bollywood. He has delivered hits like Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Luka Chuppi, Pati Patni Aur Woh and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. 

The IFFM 2023 will celebrate Karan Johar's 25 years in cinema by hosting a series of events and special screenings of his films. The festival will also showcase the best of Indian cinema across various genres and languages. The festival will also feature masterclasses, panel discussions, Q&A sessions and cultural performances.
