The second season of Amazon Prime Video's One Mic Stand will feature celebrity guests like filmmaker Karan Johar, actor Sunny Leone, journalist Faye D'Souza, rapper Raftaar, and author Chetan Bhagat, the streamer announced today.

Hosted by comedian Sapan Verma, the unscripted special will see these guests try their hand at stand up. Each celebrity will be mentored by a comic before they perform their pieces in front of a live audience.

According to Press Trust of India, Abish Mathew, Atul Khatri, Samay Raina, Sumukhi Suresh and Neeti Palta will train Johar, D’Souza, Bhagat, Leone and Raftaar.

The line-up of One Mic Stand Season 1, which debuted in 2019, included YouTube personality Bhuvan Bam, actors Richa Chadha and Taapsee Pannu, politician Shashi Tharoor, and composer-singer Vishal Dadlani. They were mentored by Zakir Khan, Kunal Kamra, Angad Ranyal, Rohan Joshi and Ashish Shakya.

Prime Video also released posters for the show featuring "the new faces of comedy."

In August, Prime Video had launched Amazon Funnies: Stand Up Shorts, where comedians like Shreeja Chaturvedi, Shankar Chugtani, Ramya Rampriya, and Aadar Malik performed 15-minute-long sets.

One Mic Stand Season 2 is among the streamer's latest efforts to bring more homegrown stand up content to its audiences. The streamer is yet to announce a premiere date for the show.
