Karan Johar announces Selfiee: Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi dance and pose, filming begins soon

Karan Johar announced his highly anticipated project titled Selfiee. The upcoming comedy-drama film stars Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashimi in lead roles, is the Hindi remake of Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu's 2019 Malayalam film, Driving Licence. Backed by KJo under his banner Dharma Productions, the forthcoming movie will be directed by Raj Mehta.

The leading filmmaker announced his latest project on Instagram with a fun video song titled Selfiee. Both the actors can be seen grooving on the same, while Emraan tries to take a few selfies with Akshay as well. 

Karan shared the video on the social media site and mentioned in the caption, “Presenting #Selfiee starring two absolutely smashing actors - Akshay Kumar & Emraan Hashmi and directed by Raj Mehta. Hop into the frame and pose because shooting begins soon! (sic).”

Akshay and Emraan will essay the characters played by Prithviraj and Suraj respectively in the original movie. 

Meanwhile, earlier today the Khiladi actor hinted at the announcement of something new with Emraan as he posted a picture on Instagram taking a selfie with the Jannat actor. In Akshay’s latest post, the two actors can be seen enjoying riding bikes on a highway under pleasant weather. The quirky caption reads, “Found myself the perfect #Selfiee partner! Hey @karanjohar, have we slayed this selfie game or what? @therealemraan (sic).”

Emraan posted the same picture on his Instagram handle as well well and mentioned in the caption that he is joining Akshay’s ‘selfiee club.’
