Kartik Aaryan is riding high after the box office success of his last film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which has grossed over Rs 150 crore. Following the success of Pyaar Ka Punchnama, its sequel, and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, the actor has been dubbed the "king" of the masses. The actor, on the other hand, does not take these titles seriously, claiming that he still has a long way to go in his career before he can justify any such label.

In an interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, the interviewer stated that Kartik has numerous titles, including "king of monologues" and "king of the masses," adding that only Shah Rukh Khan has held such a title. The actor stated that whenever he earns these titles, he feels pleased. He is not sure he wants to accept the title of king; he has still got a long way to go, so it's too soon to say.

"Perhaps I'll take the prince," Kartik quipped jokingly. The actor believes he is simply content with all the affection. He talked of the large throngs that waited for him in the mall just to see him, and how irrational that experience was. He stated that this sensation was more than any title.

While Kartik has a significant fan base, he is also no stranger to negative comments and rumours. While the actor has made peace with it, he is concerned about the impact it has had on his family, according to an earlier interview with Bollywood Bubble.

He added that it always reaches him, even the tiniest details. The actor has reached the realisation that people will say stuff. One must be rational and they can't keep changing themselves over and over. People in his immediate vicinity seem cheerful, and they seem to love what he is doing. So Kartik tries not to think about it. Sometimes it's just rumours, and sometimes things are exaggerated. It's just that when her family reads things about her, she becomes frightened. However, that is not in her control.

The sequel to the 2007 smash, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, stars Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, and Tabu. The film has broken Bollywood's box office drought and continues to perform well in theatres.
