Zoya Akhtar is definitely a formidable presence in Indian cinema, and it seems Adarsh Gourav agrees wholeheartedly. The actor is all set to star in the upcoming film Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, which is written by Akhtar.

In conversation with Mid-Day, Gourav had nothing but good things to say of the filmmaker, lavishing praise on her work.

Calling her narratives ‘refreshing’ and the perspectives her films offer as ‘thought-provoking’, Gourav talked about how it was every actor’s dream to portray a character that Akhtar pens.

Adding that he felt honoured to work with her, The White Tiger actor said that Akhtar was “redefining cinema” with the “dynamism of her directing”

Gourav will appear in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday.

Directed by debutant Arjun Varain Singh, the film is a coming-of-age drama about a group of friends addicted to the digital space. The makers of the film had recently unveiled the first look of the film on social media.

Singh is also the co-writer with Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar.

The film is produced by Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby, and is expected to release in cinemas on 2023.
