Lana Cho is all set for her new Korean dynasty drama series American Seoul which is expected to stream on Hulu. Cho will write and executive produce the show. She is working on Somewhere Only We Know as a feature film which is an adaptation of Maurene Goos young adult novel and will stream on Netflix. The movie follows a K-pop star who is going through an existential crisis over her career who finds love and adventure with an aspiring photographer in this modern retelling of Roman Holiday, plays hooky one night after a big concert in Hong Kong, escaping her handlers and bodyguard in search of a hamburger.

Cho has showcased her talents by working as a writer-producer on shows that include Greek, The CW’s Arrow and Four Weddings and a Funeral series at Hulu.

American Seoul follows an adopted, young Korean-American who moves to Seoul for a job opportunity and discovers that she is the heir of a dynastic Korean family.

The show will also be executive produced by Sebastian Lee and David Kim who executive produce ABC’s The Good Doctor, which is about Shaun Murphy, a young autistic surgeon with savant syndrome from the town of Casper, Wyoming, where he had a troubled past. He shifts to San Jose, California, to work at St. Bonaventure Hospital the prestigious San Jose and how he debunks myths on autism and proves himself.

He also has Apple’s upcoming series Pachinko, which is an upcoming drama television series based on the novel of the same name by Min Jin Lee.
