The teaser of Vishal's upcoming action entertainer Laththi was released on Sunday evening at a gala event in Chennai. The film, directed by debutant A Vinoth Kumar, has Vishal and Sunainaa playing the lead. Vishal plays a police constable in the film and the movie is packed with action. Vishal's Mark Antony co-star SJ Suryah launched the Telugu teaser of the film. Soon after the launch, SJ Suryah addressed the audience.
"I am glad to launch the Telugu teaser of the film. Vishal has struggled a lot for the film and has worked in it with utmost passion. I was told that the film's director had narrated the story to him with equal passion. So, when someone is so passionate about a film even before they begin the shoot, one can be rest assured that the film will be a big hit."
Talking about how Vishal worked really hard for Laththi, Suryah said, "Stunt choreographer Peter Hein is someone who pushes his hero to the maximum. And when it's someone like Vishal, who is known for his action ventures, one can imagine, how hard he would worked on the film, and how much the choreographer would have pushed him. I saw a number of shots where he has performed some heavy-duty action and even got injured. I think Laththi will be the beginning of the next phase of Vishal's career."
Adding that he thoroughly enjoyed working with Vishal in Mark Antony, Suryah said, "I got another brother in Vishal. And mark my words, Laththi will be a huge hit. Vishal is someone with a good heart and has done lot of good off screen as well. I really hope he wins."
Reminiscing their days in college, Vishal chipped in, "When Udhayanishi Stalin and I were studying in college, SJ Suryah sir was staying at the hostel. He would always have an eye on him during cultural programmes. He would always roam with a hunger to achieve. And what's interesting is that, he still has the same. He has gone through his ups and downs in his career. After alll life is not a bed of roses for everyone. I consider him my elder brother."
