Leaked video from Vijay's Varisu surfaces on the internet

A leaked video of veteran actor Prabhu from Vijay's Varisu has surfaced on the internet. The video, in which Prabhu is seen as a doctor and Sarathkumar as his patient, is being widely shared on social media. The leak has come as a rude shock to the makers. This is not the first time that leaked scenes have cropped up and shared on social media. Earlier, footages of Shaam and Radikaa Sarathkumar, too, did the rounds on social media. We hear that considering there were too many footage links, the team is planning to implement the no-phone policy on the sets.

Varisu, directed by Vamshi Paidpally is a Tamil and Telugu bilingual film that features Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead. This is the maiden collaboration between Vijay and Vamshi, and with the leading lady, Rashmika. The film has an ensemble cast which includes Shaam, Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Srikanth, Jayasudha, Sangeetha Krish, Samyuktha Shanmuganthan and Yogi Babu. Vijay is said to be playing dual roles in the film. The shoot for the film is on in Vishakhapatnam despite the Telugu film industry going on a strike. The team reasoned that Varisu was predominantly a Tamil film, which was only being dubbed in Telugu. 

The film's music composer Thaman had recently shared a BTS picture from the Vishakhapatnam port. This is the first time that Thaman is scoring music for a Vijay film. The album of Varisu is said to have six songs. Cinematography for the film is by Karthik Palani and editing is by Praveen KL. The film is bankrolled by Sri Venkateshwara Creations and is slated for Pongal release. The Telugu version is titled Vaarasudu. Vijay has not had a Pongal release in a long time and hence, fans of the actor are eagerly looking foward to the film.
