The upcoming film, directed by Puri Jagannadh,will feature Mike Tyson’s first onscreen role in an Indian film

Team Liger have wrapped up their latest filming schedule in Las Vegas. Ananya Panday, who features as the film’s female lead opposite Vijay Deverakonda, took to Instagram to share the update.
Panday shared a small clip featuring an evening scene from the US city. The makers had made their way to the United States on November 13 to kick-start filming this segment.
Liger,an action drama, will mark legendary former boxer Mike Tyson’s first onscreen role in an Indian film. The Las Vegas shoot involved Deverakonda and Tyson filming some pivotal scenes. The sports star’s first look from the movie had been unveiled earlier this month.
In addition to Panday, Tyson and Deverakonda, Liger also features Ramya Krishna, Ronit Roy, Ali, Makarand Deshpande, Getup Srinu and Abdul Quadir Amin. Nandamuri Balakrishna will dub Tyson’s Telugu lines in the film. The pan India film will be released in different languages including Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada.
In addition to being Deverakonda’s first Hindi film, the upcoming movie will also mark Panday’s debut in South Indian cinema.
The film is directed by Puri Jagannadh, popular for helming the Mahesh Babu starrer Pokiri. The film is bankrolled by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Charmme Kaur and Hiroo Yash Johar under the banners of Dharma Productions and Puri Connects.
Liger is slated to be released in 2022.
