Streaming platforms are notorious for their lack of transparency, allowing them to quote numbers that are tough to verify. Ormax Media, a media consulting firm, has began tracking viewership figures of the top releases across major platforms.

Here’s a list of the most-viewed shows and movies from the Indian streaming space during the week of February 7th, 2022 – February 13th, 2022. The numbers are all estimates based only within India. This list does not include any streaming releases from the South.

1. The Great Indian Murder – Disney+ Hotstar

Views (million): 6.8

Based on Vikas Swarup’s Six Suspects, the Tigmanshu Dhulia series stars Richa Chadha, Pratik Gandhi, Ashutosh Rana and Raghuvir Yadav.

2. Gehraiyaan – Amazon Prime Video

Views (million): 6.5

Directed by Shakun Batra, the film takes a deep-dive into urban relationships. It stars Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and Dhairya Karwa.

3. Rocket Boys – SonyLIV

Views (million): 3.2

This 8-part show follows the physicists Homi Bhabha (Jim Sarbh) and Vikram Sarabhai (Ishwak Singh) as they chart the course for India’s nuclear and space programs, respectively.
