Even though it has been a long time since Kaaranvir Bohra was evicted from Lock Upp, there are still hints about him on the show. In the latest episode, Munawar Faruqui replied loud enough when the guard reminded the kaidis that they used the yard area’s ground to convey their messages. For the uninitiated, after Kaaranvir (KV)’s first eviction, Shivam Sharma had written I miss you KV, Sara (Khan), Saisha (Shinde). On noticing that, Munawar changed the I to We, for Team Blue (him, Shivam, Poonam Pandey and Anjali Arora).
We spoke to KV about the bond he had with Shivam as well as Munawar. While his bonding with ‘Boom Baam’ Shivam is intact, things went downhill with Munawar the next time KV entered Kangana Ranaut’s Lock Upp.
“If there's a real bond in the whole show, it is mine and Shivam's. Everyone else is backstabbing the other. There is no bond. Nobody trusts the other and everybody is playing their game. That isn't a bond,” KV re-affirmed.
However, when we probed him further on his bonding with Munawar, the actor said, “Yes, I did have a bond with Munawar. I do know now and it was very unfortunate that Saisha had to fill Munawar's ears but that is her job. I was surprised to learn that Munawar agreed with everything she said. I felt like he backstabbed me. I didn't backstab him at all. I just felt like I didn't want to play safe. That was me challenging myself. The show was about me fighting my inside demons. When Munawar heard all these things which had got nothing to do with him, he made up a story in his head and put me on the chargesheet. That was backstabbing. I expected Munawar to tell me on the face that he heard something. If he didn't, that means he wanted to keep something and create a rift. It's a game but my trust is broken.”
Later, KV compared his and Munawar’s relation to that of Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni, both legends of the cricket world, at least in India. “Munawar and me had a very interesting understanding. We had a very respectful bond between two strong players, like Virat and Dhoni because they are at the top of their game. That's sportsmanship. We always planned that if there was a fight between us, we wouldn't go below-the-belt, like the cheapness that's going on. After he targetted on my career, he apologized too,” KV shared.
He spoke about the changing bond and added, “However, when Poonam removed the topic again, he started laughing the loudest. If he starts laughing after that again, it's 'gande maze lena.' He had to stand up for me there. That would be a true friend. He has never stood up for me like that. He would only take fun. I know it's a game and what happens in Lock Upp stays in Lock Upp and this is a very small matter.”
Kaaranvir also spoke about his incident with Poonam and how that is a little on the unforgivable side. “What happened with Poonam was huge. It would be very difficult for her to win my trust. I will always have that bond with Shivam. He could come and stay at my house, I feel. I will always have the camaraderie with Munawar too because I understand that he's also a father,” the actor told us.
Currently, KV is taking a break from reality shows. He has not yet revealed his future projects but is expecting to announce something very soon.
