Kangana Ranaut took a U-turn when it came to stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui’s performance on her show, Lock Upp. The actress, who had bashed him left, right and centre on grand premiere day stating she is not a fan of his work, went on to praise him in the recent episode of her show. More so, she hinted that he has winner qualities.

On the judgement day (Saturday), Kangana first spoke to Munawar and said that he is playing a good game. She said that the comedian ‘has what it takes’ (to become a winner). The actress, however, warned him to play his cards right for that to happen.

After the praises, Kangana went on to point out how Munawar plays a cunning game to the extent that he initiates a fight. The actress accused the comedian of starting the fight between Siddharth Sharma and Shivam Sharma.

In his (rather weak) defence, Munawar went on to state that he simply told Siddharth not to get physical but infuriate the other person (here, Shivam) so much that he gets violent. Kangana shun his behaviour and asked Munawar to be more careful with his words.

The host then also picked up his topic on Saisha Shinde. For the uninitiated, Saisha, a transgender woman, has confessed that she likes Munawar.

Saisha had told Munawar that his fans won’t let their ‘bhabhi’ go out. The comedian responded to that saying, “Mujhe idhar ulti aa jaayegi.”

The statement offended Saisha but she did not choose to react on it till Kangana brought out the topic. When the host did, Saisha immediately said that she has some insecurities and his behaviour, for the second time, triggered something in her. Munawar eventually apologized to Saisha but went on to defend himself which did not work in his favour.

Nonetheless, Kangana praised Munawar’s game and said he was the only one who played well in ‘Main Naag Tu Sapera’ (Snakes and Ladders) task. Munawar’s last strike saved Karanvir Bohra in the game. Through that, Munawar repaid Karanvir for nominating him in the game in the previous week.

Munawar happens to be the most liked contestant on Lock Upp. His fans fill out the comments section by rooting for him and saying they are watching the show for Munawar.

Lock Upp is currently streaming on AltBalaji and MX Player. New episodes of the show are often revealed after 10.30 pm.
