Lock Upp: Munawar Faruqui spills secret about the day his mother was in hospital, leaves Kangana Ranaut in tears

Munawar Faruqui has spoken about his mother for the first time on Kangana Ranaut’s Lock Upp and it was heavy to say the least. The comedian was given an opportunity to spill a secret and his word was maa. Thus, Munawar recalled what happened with his mother and it is something he regrets.

The comedian was the first to press the buzzer for the secret task and thus, he got to reveal what exactly happened to his mother. Munawar had often stated that his mother meant everything to him but did not speak on the matter any further. Finally, he did.

The makers released a video in which Munawar is heard recalling the incident bit-by-bit. He even remembered when the incident took place.

Munawar revealed that back in January 2007, his grandmother woke him up from sleep at 7 am stating that his mother was not feeling well and thus, had to be admitted to the hospital. He then recalled how when he reached the hospital, he faced the unexpected.

“My mom came out of the emergency ward and she was screaming,” Munawar told Kangana. He recalled holding his mother’s hand.

Munawar then remembered how the doctors had a discussion among themselves and then asked him to leave his mother’s hand. “Mujhe kahan ki tu haath chodh de,” Munawar recalled. The video ends with Munawar stating that the incident is something that has not left his mind till date.

His confession left everyone, including Kangana Ranaut, in tears. Saisha Shinde, Shivam Sharma and Kaaranvir Bohra, among others, were seen crying upon hearing Munawar hear his secret. Anjali Arora could not even open her eyes, which was the case ever since she was given an opportunity to reveal her secret too.

Anjali’s word for secret was suicide. Payal Rohatgi and Ali Mercchant also got an opportunity to reveal a secret. Their words were rehab and divorce respectively. Of course, since Munawar pressed the buzzer, only he ended up revealing his big secret.
