The trailer for Locke and Key season two is out. The trailer shows the three Locke siblings and their mother move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse after their father is murdered under mysterious circumstances. There they discover that the full of magic keys that may be connected to their father's death. The Locke children explore the different keys and their unique powers which awakens a mysterious demon and it will stop at nothing to steal them.

Locke and Key is a coming-of-age mystery about love, loss, and the unshakable bonds that define family. The series is created by Carlton Cuse who is the man behind Lost and Bates Motel as well as Meredith Averill who brought The Haunting of Hill House into existence.

The second season will be out on Netflix from October 22, 2021.

Locke and Key is adapted from best-selling comic book series by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez.

The makers have described the premise of the second season as "Locke and Key follows three siblings who, after the murder of their father, move to their ancestral home only to find the house has magical keys that give them a vast array of powers and abilities."

The series features Darby Stanchfield, Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones, Jackson Robert Scott, Laysla De Oliveira, Petrice Jones, and Griffin Gluck. While the first season came out in 2020, featuring ten episodes, it became an instant hit among the viewers.

The makers are dropping Locke and Key season two just in time for Halloween making it the Fall special show for the fans.

In 2020, Locke and Key won the Ruderman Family Foundation award for Seal of Authentic Representation.

The show will also be returning for a third season as confirmed by Netflix in the late 2020.
