Maharani 2: Sohum Shah says shooting for Huma Qureshi-led show almost feels like a picnic

Sohum Shah has earned a name in the industry with his portrayal of some interesting characters in features like Tumbbad, Ship Of Theseus, Talvar, Big Bull or Simran. One of interesting roles that really stood out is Bheema Bharti from Maharani. 

The actor is now returning to play the character again after winning several accolades for his effortless performance in Maharani season 1 as Bheema. He is currently shooting for season two of the series.

Recently, he opened up about working on the show again with the cast and crew. Sohum said in his statement that he feels amazing to be back. "Working on the second season has relived memories of working with such a fantastic team of talented artists," he said adding that it feels like a picnic to shoot for season two of Maharani 2. "We all are having fun together, hanging out together, making reels for social media, capturing moments and reminiscing about season 1. It’s too much fun," he adds.

Season one of the show was released in May, last year. It was led by Huma Qureshi and also starred Amit Sial, Kani Kusruti and Inaamulhaq. 

The actor is busy shooting for the SonyLIV show in different locations. He also has other projects in the pipeline. Besides Maharani 2, Sohum also has Reema Kagti’s ‘Fallen’ in the pipeline.
