Mahesh Manjrekar on being back on Bigg Boss Marathi 3 after fighting cancer: I'll get my energy back slowly

The grand premiere of Bigg Boss Marathi 3 took place on the night of September 19. Mahesh Manjrekar was back on stage after two long years of batter with cancer.

Back in 2018, Mahesh was diagnosed with cancer just when he was about to begin shooting for the show. While he is now cancer-free, the actor says it will take time to get his energy back.

"I was looking forward to the show and suddenly, I was diagnosed with a medical issue," the actor told ToI. Of course, he underwent surgery and is now better.

Talking about his battle with cancer, the actor said, "Cancer scares and it's a fact." He is slowly recovering. "Slowly, I will get back more energy," he added.

The Bigg Boss Marathi 3 host said that his willpower and patience are strong. He, however, added that getting back to normal is a challenge.

Like Salman Khan (host of Bigg Boss Hindi), Mahesh Manjrekar feels that Bigg Boss is a show that tests people's psyche. "Bigg Boss is a psychological show, and you are tested every minute," he said. The actor also rooted for honest reactions, adding that those who are 'real', win the show.

Apart from Bigg Boss Marathi 3, Mahesh worked in a Hindi film and two Marathi movies during the lockdown.
