The four-part show, which also has Paresh Pahuja, had the actors shoot themselves in their homes.

When OTTplay spoke to Manjari Fadnnis earlier this year, the actress was quite kicked about the slate of upcoming projects that she has, including her first-ever Marathi film, Adrushya. Among the many other collaborations she’s had in recent times, Manjari also mentioned Yeh Dooriyan, a film that she and co-star Paresh Pahuja shot for themselves. “Yeh Dooriyan, with Paresh Pahuja, is an interesting film that we shot ourselves, in the sense that the director and cinematographer were on Zoom calls with us and told us how to capture the scenes. This should come out as a four-part web series soon,” she had said back then.
Earlier today, the actress took to social media to announce that Yeh Dooriyan has a streaming date, and where audiences could watch it. In a long post, Manjari wrote, “Wow! So finally this lovely film so close to my heart I did during the peak lockdown in June 2020 ‘Yeh Dooriyaan’ , which we actors shot ourself on our phones & other shoot equipment sent across to us, over 15 days locked down in our own respective houses ALONE with the help of our lovely writer director @souvikguptain & our cinematographer @ershadershaad on Zoom call guiding us through it… @pareshpahuja & I played not just the characters but also Assistant Directors, Assistants to our DOP, also played Art Directors in our respective houses, Setting Dada, spot boy/girl, did our own styling, Hair & Makeup, (this for the 1st time you all will see me on screen in my most natural look, no hair extensions & some scenes absolutely no makeup) on the shoot. This film brings me together as a Co-Producer, with my lovely Producers of my Short Films Khamakha & Cot which u all loved, Humara Movies who I share a great bond with .🤗🤗🤗 Vinay Preeti & Pallavi. Our director Souvik Gupta, by the way I still haven’t met in person TILL DATE!!! But loved how he wrote the script & executed it like a pro remotely sitting in Calcutta 😂😂. Even my Costar, Paresh Pahuja I had never met before & met him for the 1st time in person after a year & half of completing shoot, for the poster shoot or our film. What a lovely Talented guy! & BTW an awesome singer composer too😁,” she wrote, adding, “So finally the date is locked & we are going live with it on the Humara Movies Channel on YouTube on thé 20th May 2022!!!!”
Manjari also wrote that Adrushya, the Marathi remake of the Spanish film Julia’s Eyes, which was earlier slated to come out on May 13 was pushed ahead to May 20, but the fact that Yeh Dooriyan was not a theatrical release and therefore not in a clash with Adrushya was a lucky break for her. “Luckily my Marathi Film Adrushya (which is also now releasing on 20th May) & Yeh Dooriyaan won’t clash in Theatres Thankfully …. Please watch Adrushya in theatres & U can watch Yeh Dooriyaan anytime u like from 20th May onwards🤗,” she wrote.
