Manushi Chhillar says Tehran gives her a chance to present herself in a new avatar

Manushi Chhillar is a very popular figure in the country, after she was crowned Miss World. The diva also recently made her Bollywood acting debut in Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj and she is set to return to the big screen despite the movie failing at the box office. The model turned actor has now talked about her second movie, Tehran. 

“It is validating that I’m being offered diverse roles. I’m excited about Tehran as it not only gives me a chance to present myself in a new avatar, but will also allow me to learn and grow as an actor,” Chhillar said, as reported by Mid Day. The actor is currently working on the second schedule of the movie in Mumbai. 

The movie caught the attention of the fans after its first look poster was released online earlier last month. Chhillar can be seen in the poster holding a gun, and fans have since been excited to see what she has to offer. The actor also said that producer Dinesh Vijan has been supportive and it is “heartwarming” to get all the love that she got after the first look was released. 

Directed by Arun Gopalan, the geopolitical thriller stars John Abraham in the lead. The makers have kept details about the movie under wraps. 

Chhillar’s acting debut in Samrat Prithviraj saw her play Sanyogita alongside Akshay Kumar. Despite having a lot of fanfare around it, the movie failed to impress the fans and also failed at the box office. 

John Abraham on the other hand, is also working on Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, which is one of the most-anticipated Bollywood movies in the making.
