Spark, the thriller that releases on November 17, introduces Vikranth as an actor to Telugu cinema. Besides coming up with the story and co-writing the dialogues, he is also the producer (and has partly directed) of the film. Mehreen Pirzada, Ruskhar Dhillon are paired opposite him in the lavishly mounted project.At the launch of a new promo Evil Side of Spark, Vikranth and Mehreen spoke about the film today.
Mehreen shared, “I wish Vikranth the very best for Spark, he’s making a debut as an actor, director, writer and producer. We welcome him with open arms, just like how you have accepted us and Rukshar with our popular characters.” The actress said that her fans inspire her to work harder. “It really keeps me going and motivates me to choose better scripts.” Spark must be enjoyed with family and friends, she said.
The actress stated she was the first one to come on board for Spark last January and that she has known Vikranth for two years now. “Vikranth has worked very hard for the film, I don’t think he has eaten or slept properly. It’s not easy for him to leave a settle life in the US and he’s come in front of you to fulfil his dream. Ir’s important to live and chase your dreams.”
Besides talking about the film, she asked crowds to celebrate a cracker-free Diwali and that it’s harmful to the environment, humankind and animals. “Brighten your souls with this Diwali and watch Spark,” she averred. Meanwhile, Vikranth mentioned that Spark is about four elements - love, investigation, fight and evil and thanked Mehreen and Rukshar for coming on board despite him being a newcomer.
“Many advised me against entering the industry, I only wanted to make a good film. I am thankful to those who encouraged and also criticised me. I am like a kid waiting for our exam results. Spark has a good story, appealing music, action and thrills,” Vikranth added.
