Model-turned-actress Dolly Aishwarya is all set to make her debut as a lead actress in the film, Kalaignar Nagar, which is made with the purpose to create a world record. The film, directed by Sugan Kumar, has Prajin, Miga Miga Avasaram fame Priyanka and Livingston as part of the star cast. While Naresh has composed the music, Ilaiyaraaja has handled the cinematography and dialogues are penned by Baba Kennedy. Kalaignar Nagar is produced by Sivaraj of SR Film Factory.
The plot of Kalaignar Nagar revolves around the odds and challenges faced by stage dancers. "It will delve into their lifestyle and the problems they face in their day-to-day life.The film will bust manu misconceptions about them. It was a great experience to work with Prajin and Priyanka."
What's interesting is that the entire film has been shot in a span of less than 24 hours. "The film’s director Sugan Kumar, has already created a record of directing a short film Pitha in 23.23 hours. And now, he has completed a full-length feature film in 23 hours 7 minutes. The entire film was shot in a single day and the festival scene will scream grandeur. The scene has many junior artists, and it will be one of the highlights of this film. The film has been made for the Universal Genius Record, and I am glad that my debut movie itself is creating such wonderful vibes for me.
Talking about her maiden venture, Dolly Aishwarya says, "I have already acted in a short film titled Kadhale Comali. Although I had great interest in acting, I felt that embarking on a journey as a model would be more beneficial for my career. Initially, another actress was signed to play the leading lady in Kalaignar Nagar. Unfortunately, she met with an accident a couple of days before the commencement of shooting. That's how I got an opportunity to act, and in the next couple of days, I had to face the camera for the shooting."
She adds, "At the same time, I gained confidence after reading the script. We had to shift nearly 19 locations in a day with just a 10-15 mins gap between each location change. Moreover, the entire film had to be shot in 23 hours. "
Apart from Kalaignar Nagar, Dolly Aishwarya will also be seen in Iravin Kangal, a scientific thriller, thriller Happy Birthday Julie, and crime thriller Kadaisi Thotta.
