Amazon Prime Video had announced its plans for Indian adaptation of its popular anthology series, Modern Love, earlier this year. The makers of the show’s Hindi version of the same, titled Modern Love: Mumbai, have unveiled the show’s release date along with a new poster.
The poster, which features glimpses from the show, can be viewed on Amazon Prime Video India’s social media pages. The anthology series will premiere on the platform on May 13.

The upcoming series will consist of six episodes, featuring standalone stories, titled Raat Rani, Baai, Mumbai Dragon, My Beautiful Wrinkles, I Love Thane and Cutting Chai.
Shonali Bose, Hansal Mehta, Vishal Bhardwaj, Alankrita Shrivastava, Dhruv Sehgal and Nupur Asthana have directed each of the six episodes.
The series stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Bhupendra Jadawat, Dilip Prabhavalkar (Raat Rani); Tanuja, Pratik Gandhi, Ranveer Brar (Baai); Yeo Yann Yann, Meiyang Chang, Wamiqa Gabbi, Naseeruddin Shah (Mumbai Dragon); Sarika, Danesh Razvi, Ahsaas Channa,Tanvi Azmi (My Beautiful Wrinkles); Masaba Gupta, Ritwik Bhowmik, Prateik Babbar, Aadar Malik,Dolly Singh (I Love Thane); Chitrangda Singh, Arshad Warsi (Cutting Chai). Pritish Nandy Communications has produced the series.The series is inspired by the famous New York Times column and podcast of the same name.
Aparna Purohit, Amazon Prime Video’s head of India originals said “Modern Love Mumbai features a bouquet of six heart-warming, lyrical stories that explore love in its many forms and together all the stories represent a unique love affair with the poly-cultural city of Mumbai”.
Modern Love: Mumbai is the first of three Indian adaptations of the popular American TV series which was developed by John Carney. The second season of the show premiered last year. The three local adaptations are Modern Love: Mumbai, Modern Love: Chennai, and Modern Love: Hyderabad, which will premiere in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu respectively.
