The sudden death of Nedumudi Venu has left the entire Mollywood industry in shock. The veteran actor has over 500 films to his credit. Several actors and fans have been pouring in their condolenses for the actor on social media. Calling him a teacher, many are remembering him for his vast spanse of movies that offered several lessons in filmmaking.
Bhrahmam actor Sukumaran bidded farewell to the actor with a tweet. He wrote, "Farewell Venu uncle! Your body of work and your expertise over the craft will forever be research material for generations to come! Rest in peace legend! #NedumudiVenu".
Manju Warrier shared a couple of pictures with the actor and wrote a heartfelt note in Malayalam for the legendary actor on Instagram. She recalled how he turned a father figure after she lost her father few years ago. She said she received a letter from him saying she need not worry about anything and he would always be there for her. She further wrote that he was not just a great actor but a great human being who will always hold a special place in her heart. "I used to tease him by calling him Kodumudi Venu as he holds the top place in my life. He has given me several lessons in life and cinema," she wrote. The actress also wished if she could have worked on more projects with him.
Parvathy Thiruvothu also expressed her grief on social media. Calling herself incredibly lucky to have been able to work with 'masterclass of an actor', she said his demise is a terrible loss. "I salute his artistry and carry within me the incredible fervour for the craft he’s instilled in me as an actor through his work," she wrote with a black and white picture of her with the actor.
Dulquer Salmaan had shared screen with the national award-winning actor Nedumodi Venu in his 2015 drama Charlie. Heartbroken, the actor wrote in a Facebook post that he was one of the finest actors and kindest human being he has ever come across.
Nivin Pauly wrote he will never forget the love and guidance he received from him while he shared screen with the actor for his first film Malarvaadi Arts Club.
Other actors like Namitha Pramod also expressed her grief.
