dMarvel Studios is all set to introduce Ms. Marvel to the world, as the show starts streaming tomorrow. Indian filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, who is a part of the show’s cast, has now shared a heartfelt note appreciating the makers of the mini-series.
Akhtar shared the note on Twitter by writing, “In gratitude.” The note started off by saying that the first episodes of the show will be released tomorrow and that the post is an appreciation for all its creators, directors and everyone who has worked in front and behind the camera.
The filmmaker added that the post is also an appreciation of Marvel and that he is proud to be a part of their conscious inclusiveness. Calling the show a “celebration of diversity”, he said that it will bring pride and joy to millions of young boys and girls of the sub-continent.
“At last but not the least, it is in appreciation of the wonderfully talented Iman Vellani. Be prepared to be thoroughly entertained and effortlessly charmed by her,” he wrote, wishing good luck to the team.
Farhan Akhtar has confirmed to be a part of the show’s cast along with the likes of Fawad Khan, while the details of his character has not been revealed yet. Ms. Marvel also stars Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Laurel Marsden, Adaku Ononogbo, Laith Nakli, Travina Springer, and Aramis Knight.
The show will follow Kamala Khan, a teenage Pakistani-American Muslim superheroine who first appeared in the Captain Marvel comics. The show will also make way for Kamala’s Ms. Marvel to be a part of the Captain Marvel sequel titled, The Marvels.
