Nagarjuna gearing up for his OTT debut?

After his successful small screen debut with Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu and following it up with his stint on Big Boss Telugu, looks like Telugu star Nagarjuna is now gearing up for his OTT debut soon. Speculations about Nagarjuna’s foray into the web space have been rife for quite some time now. As per reports, an official announcement regarding his maiden OTT show is expected to be out in a month.

Reportedly, Nagarjuna’s OTT debut will see him playing the lead in an action thriller series, the details of which are also expected to be revealed at the time of the announcement.

Earlier in March, during the production of his film Wild Dog, Nagarjuna spoke to an online portal and revealed his plans for an OTT debut. The actor shared, “It is very exciting to see a story narrated over many episodes. I came across a very interesting subject and will take a call very soon.”

He said that he will be setting his foot into the digital medium and there have already been offers for him. One is said to be a story based in World War 2 and the other one is a time-travel story set in the 1980s’. The actor also added that he has not decided yet which one will be his digital debut but considering the latest reports, one of these series might begin rolling soon.

Nagarjuna has acted in more than 100 films in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. The actor has also won multiple awards including nine state Nandi Awards, three Filmfare Awards South and two National Film Awards.

Nagarjuna hosted the Telugu version of Kaun Banega Crorepati – Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu, the first season of which was telecast on MAA TV from 9 June 2014. He was even honoured with the Entertainment Leader Award for Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu at the TV-5 Business Leaders Awards ceremony. He has also hosted the third and fourth seasons of Bigg Boss Telugu in 2019 and 2020.
