The teaser of the long-pending film, Jail, starring GV Prakash in the lead and directed by Vasantha Balan, was released a couple of weeks ago. Now, the makers have come up with a video song, titled Nagarodi, which has been unveiled by Arya and Pa Ranjith through their social media handles.

An elated Arya tweeted, "Here is #Nagarodi from #Jail. Darling @gvprakash on a roll. Congratulations team." The song, which has been composed by GV Prakash himself, has him crooning it, too, along with Enjoy Enjaami fame Arivu and Ananya Bhatt.

The peppy song, which has Sandy choreographing some interesting moves, features all the three singers lending voice to the thought-provoking lyrics penned by Arivu. The movie touches upon the lives of people living in a resettlement colony and the song is a reminder of the various struggles faced by homeless people.

The four-minute video song is attractive because of the contrast between the vibrant costumes of the singers and the dark shades attached to the struggling people who are seen in the background. It also showcases a few newspaper clippings about homeless people and their neve-ending hardships.

Jail has cinematography by AR Ashok Kumar, art direction by Suresh Kallery and editing by Raymond Derrick Crasta. Produced by Sridharan Mariathasan, the film has Abarnathi playing the female lead. Radhika Sarathkumar, Pasanga Pandi, Nadan Ram and Ravi Mariya will be seen essaying pivotal characters in the movie.

Earlier, Dhanush had unveiled the one-and-a-half minutes teaser of Jail which highlighted the lives of people living in the resettlement colony at Kannagi Nagar near Thoraipakkam in Chennai. The movie was in the news last month when producer Gnanavel Raja's Studio Green bagged its theatrical release.
